This family session was actually scheduled for a different day, but with drizzles in the forecast we decided to push it out and I’m so glad we did! We got beautiful golden sun at this Almaden Valley family photo session. These two sisters were so sweet and mom brought the most creative treat as a reward for taking photos—a can of whipped cream and each girl would get a small squirt straight into the mouth during breaks of the session! The fall afternoon light just lit up this family, creating such a dreamy glow. We started down at the base of the hills and trekked up, chasing the sun as it began to set.
Mom and I worked together to pick the perfect outfits to help each family member shine. We chose a neutral palette and a mix of patterns to create a soft, but interesting blend. I love working with clients to create a custom moodboard for each session with different color palette and outfit ideas. You can read a little more about the experience of working together here.
